Industry standards for ground equipment and signal receivers are crucial for airborne applications. Concerning standardization for ground electronic equipment and receivers of GNSS-based applications, the European Organization for Civil Aviation Equipment (EUROCAE) is the decisive entity.
We at Astrium Navigation Systems & Application support Working Group (WG) 62 of EUROCAE in the development of documentation for standards of ground and airborne precision approach equipment:
We provide GNSS system and signal performance expertise to both EUROCAE and the ICAO Aviation Standardization WG and contribute by this to establish reliable standards for satellite-based applications.
Additionally to standardization tasks, we are also involved in certification procedures for GNSS applications.
